FAQ

• What is the difference between AC, DC or HPC chargers and charging points?

  First, abbreviations AC, DC and HPC:
  AC = alternating current
  DC = direct current
  HPC = high power charging
  
  With DC and HPC fast chargers, an EV can be charged much faster than with AC (alternating current) chargers. AC charges charge usually with a charging power of (only) 22kW.
  
  Depending on the model of the DC or HPC fast charger, the charging power can be for example, 50-600 kW.
  
  Please note that AC charging points are not covered by our December campaign. Only DC and HPC fast charges of the named CPOs are included in the December fast charging campaign.

• How many Recharge’s fast charging points are there in the Nordics?

  Recharge has the widest fast charging network in the Nordics. Below you can see the amount of fast chargers per country (as of November 2024):
  
  Norway: 2480 Recharge fast chargers (1242 DC fast chargers, 1238 HPC fast chargers
  Finland: 553 Recharge fast chargers (149 DC fast chargers, 404 HPC fast chargers
  Sweden: 909 Recharge fast chargers (244 DC fast chargers, 665 HPC fast chargers
  In total: 3942 Recharge fast chargers in Norway, Sweden and Finland combined.

• Which CPOs and charging stations are within the December campaign?

  The December campaign covers DC and HPC fast chargers, offering at least 50 kW of charging power of the following CPOs in Norway, Sweden and Finland:
  -Norway: Recharge, IONITY, Kople
  -Sweden: Recharge, IONITY, Mer
  -Finland: Recharge

  You need to activate the campaign code JUL24 (Norway & Sweden), JOULU24 (Finland) in the local Fortum Charge & Drive app version, to get the discounted December pricing.

• What are the regular, undiscounted prices of the CPOs within the December discount campaign?

  Norway:
  -regular, undiscounted prices:
  Recharge: 5,95 kr/kWh*, IONITY: 5,40 kr/kWh*, Kople: 5,99 kr/kWh*
  
  -discounted campaign price: 4,99 kr/kWh (Recharge, IONITY, Mer)
  
  
  Sweden:

  Recharge: 5,95 kr/kWh*, IONITY: 6,40 kr/kWh*, Mer: 6,05-8,25 kr/kWh*

  *regular prices as of November 7th, 2024, when charging with Fortum Charge & Drive app, with Fortum Charge & Drive RFID charging key, or with Fortum Charge & Drive RFID charging card.

• Can I charge my EV with the campaign code at the discounted price at other CPOs?

  You can charge your EV with the discounted campaign price only at the listed charging point operators (CPOs) per country, at the charging stations offering at least 50 kW of charging power, and after having activated the local campaign code. The CPOs covered by our December fast charging campaign in the Nordics are:
  Norway: Recharge, IONITY, Kople
  Sweden: Recharge, IONITY, Mer
  Finland: Recharge

• After redeeming the campaign code, how can I confirm if my campaign code is registered?

  When you activate the campaign code (voucher) in our app, this text appears on your phone screen: "You just got new privileges. You have been added to a group which drives special pricing and network access”. This popup text means that the activation of the campaign code was successful. You will not receive any other messages about the successful activation of the campaign code.
  
  Please note that under the text "You got new privileges" is a link to "Subscriptions" in the app. In "Subscriptions", you will however not see any mention of the activated campaign code (because it is not a subscription, but a campaign).
  How to verify that the campaign code was successfully activated?
  
  There are two ways:
  
  1) By looking for Recharge's fast chargers in the app's and checking the price information: if the charging price is the discounted campaign price (4,99kr/kWh in Sweden & Norway, 0,29€/kWh in Finland), then the campaign code has been successfully activated.
  
  Also,
  2) If you try to activate an already activated code again, you get a red text on your phone screen: "Voucher code redemption failed", because your code has already been activated successfully.
